Elkridge, Md. — Archbishop Spalding (Severn, Md.)has been recently ranked 12th in country for boy’s lacrosse. The Cavaliers are off to a 3–0 start to the season with four Roughrider players on the roster. Senior defenseman Aidan Kapral, senior defensive midfielder Owen Staudt, and senior face-off specialist Trey Fleece and junior midfielder Augustine D’Ambrosi.

Fleece is making an impact as part of the Cavaliers rope unit, whether it is controlling the face-off x or on a wing. Coach Lee Corrigan speaks highly of Fleece calling him a game changer. Fleece is the type of player that controls a game and can keep the momentum going your way. Being able to control the possession game is key, and with his help on the rope unit, the Cavaliers can control the possessions. Fleece will continue his career at UMBC next year.

D’Ambrosi looks to add depth in the midfield as he is slotted on their second midfield group. As a junior D’Ambrosi is looking to have a big summer for the Roughriders still on the hunt to land a spot to call home after his senior year.

Kapral and Staudt add depth to the defensive side of the field for the Cavaliers. Kapral had a big summer and fall for the Roughriders and was able to find himself committed to Belmont Abbey to continue his career next year. Staudt as a short stick defensive midfield adds grit for the Cavaliers this year and was a grinder all summer and fall for the Roughriders.

The Cavaliers look to continue their MIAA success this year with the help from these Roughrider players.
